Wine tasting in Strahov, in order to get to the earliest Christian monastery on the territory of the Czech Republic - Strahov Monastery - there is absolutely no need to leave the capital city. The unique attraction is situated in Hradčany. In the monastery founded in the beginning of the 12th century and belonging to the order of monks-premonstrants, there is something to see: a stone pillar with a statue of St. Norbert, the Ascension church, a magnificent garden, an art gallery, museums of national literature and miniatures. The local brewery is famous for its drink "St. Norbert. " Since the XVII century, local monks are brewing beer according to an old recipe, which is kept in secret until now. But here, however, you can taste other varieties, and the flavor is given to additives from fruits, honey, hops. During the dinner in the monastery restaurant you will be offered wine tasting with snacks from national Czech dishes: toast with whipped blue cheese, fettuccine with chicken meat and cheese sauce, carp fillet in breaded sauce, potatoes with sour cream sauce, Czech pie with camembert cheese, beef stew under wine sauce, Karlovy Vary dumpling.

Wine tasting with dinner at the Grand Monastery Restaurant includes 5 different varieties of wine made specifically for the restaurant, cheese sliced ​​and light dinner from traditional Czech dishes. The wine is stored in ancient cellars and bears the proud name of the founder of the Premonstratensian Order of St. Norbert. The tour starts at 18:30. Duration - 2 hours.
