For the first 400 years from the 13th to the 17th century), the castle was replaced by 26 owners and was rebuilt several times, as several aristocratic families replaced the owners, the latter being the Schwarzenberg family, First there was a reconstruction in the Baroque style, later, at the end of the 19th century, an extensive reconstruction in the romantic style of the "new Gothic" was completed, the castle was completely rebuilt under the influence of the travel experiences of the then owners from their travels around England. The main prototype of the project was Castle Windsor In its reconstructed form "a la Windsor" Hluboka is perfectly preserved to this day.
Around the castle is a magnificent English garden with a rather rare plants and a system of ponds. Outside and inside on the walls are hunted hunting trophies of the owners.
Orlik - the most beautiful castle of the 13th century was erected on the top of an 80-meter cliff, reminiscent of an eagle's nest. The appearance of the castle is full of exciting legends. According to one of them, Orlik owes his appearance to the leader of the local bandits, whose eagle stole a small son. Having discovered a living and unharmed child in an eagle's nest, the grateful father built a fortress and named it in honor of this proud majestic bird. The castle acquired its present appearance in the 19th century for twenty years, and from the earlier Roman fortress Orlik turned into a white, four-story neo-Gothic building. Orlik is a private property. From 1719 until now the castle belongs to the noble family Schwarzenberg. Despite the fact that the family lives in the castle, it is open to visitors. You will be met by a magnificent setting, an old library with unique books, a small archaeological collection, an arms gallery with 300 weapons, an English park with peacocks and much more.
