Saxon Switzerland deservedly ranked among the most beautiful and charming regions of Germany. The National Park "Saxon Switzerland" is located in the south of Saxony, about 100 km from Prague and is famous throughout the world for the uniqueness of its natural landscapes, including huge rock massifs, mountain pillars, narrow valleys and gorges. "Millions of years frozen in stone" - this is sometimes called this nature reserve, which does not have analogues in Central Europe.
During the tour you will visit the castle of Koenigstein. The first mention of Koenigstein as a castle dates back to the beginning of the 13th century. The name Köenigstein is translated as "The Royal Stone". By 1581, the castle of Koenigstein was rebuilt into a fortress. It has repeatedly proved its inaccessibility, and no one could conquer it. Fortress Köenigstein visited many kings and generals. Several times Köenigstein visited Peter I, showed interest in the fortress of Napoleon Bonaparte. The fortress wall of Köenigstein is the longest in Germany - 550 meters. The height of the castle walls is more than 40 meters. The fortress itself is unique in many respects due to the mountain on which it is located.
After that, you will transfer to a huge rocky massif Bastai (German Bastei), towering 198 meters above the Elbe. With numerous ledges, you will discover unforgettable views of the pillar mountains and the Elbe.
